Hi all,

 

I hope you can help. 

I have an UK account paying with a UK bank. I have now moved to Germany and I am trying to swap my country to Germany. I have tried what it says in account settings etc. but it will not allow me to do it and therefore not allow me to get Premium anymore. 

 

I have been trying for a while and now my payment has run out to a free account!

 

Basically how can I change my country another way from the way I should be able to change it.?

I've registred the account in Italy but I'm living in UK now - but I can't change the country.

Could please help me?

Hi! I've been having the same problem after my move from Finland to Germany. I emailed the support about it, my case no. is 02544122. I also replied to the automatic reply email saying that in the past I have logged in with both my username/email as well as my Facebook account -- according to what I've read from here that could be a duplicate/ghost account problem? Hoping to get this fixed soon, feels so weird to be without Spotify. 

In my account it doesn't allow me to change my country location, instead it asks me to update my payment settings... but I am NOT a premium user anymore. Just want to update my free profile to reflect my new residence. Cheers!

I am trying to change my home country but the website wont let me. It lets me edit all the info except the country, which shows in a grey color. 

 

Has anyone had this issue before? Its a shame that spotify does not have a propper customer service system.

I lived in Swiss for a while and was using Spotify Premium, it was an offer of my mobile contract.
When I moved back to my homeland Germany 1 year ago, I cancelled the Premium account and wanted to change the country. But that's not possible! I can't select anything in the menu of my account - profilsettings. I always login with my Facebook account...is that a problem?
When I try to log in with the IPad or Android app it says something like "You haven't been in your country since 14 days..." >>Of course I know that because I am not in swiss anymore.
Does anyone have an idea how to change my country?

Hey @bosa and @Torevi thanks for reaching out to us. 

 

First of all, are you both able to sign in and access your Spotify Profile page? And from there you've followed all the steps outlined here: "How can I change my counry settings?"

 

If you're receiving an error code please let us know the error and at what point in the process you're getting it (if you could include a screenshot that doesn't include any personal details that would be great).

@meahtenoha Hi thanks for getting back to me. 

 

Yes I can access all of that, I can get to the point where I edit my profile and then the drop down menu is not available, see attached. 

 

After that there is no where to go 😞

Looks like the screenshot of bosa but instead of United Kingdom it is Switzerland.

Hey @bosa do you currently have a German IP address? Are you working with a proxy that has your IP address still set to the UK?

 

@Torevi is your IP address also putting you in Switzerland?

Nope, already checked that as a fix, I am all signed up to a German IP 🙂

Yes! I tried it with Google Chrome, Safari and Mozilla Firefox...
