Changing Email associated with my account

I use Spotify on my primary email, and I've been wanting to change my username. So I changed my email associated with the account to my secondary email, and tried creating a new account on my primary but it said it was still in use. So then I logged in again, and tried changing the email to my primary and it said it was taken. 

Is there a way to delete the email linked with the account so I can then register on my primary to get a different username?
