Hello fellow Spotify fans.

 

I am having an issue with changing my Spotify e-mail address to my latest and most recent email so I can claim my Google Nest Mini. 

 

I had my main Spotify account (of which I pay for premium) set up with my old e-mail address of which I have been blocked out of. I also had a secondary Spotify account  which had an account set up on it with my main email, which has now been deleted as I don't use it.

 

I am trying to change the email address of my main account to my main email account. Now I have deleted my old spotify account which was linked to my main email address, I still get the error message that states "We're sorry, that email is taken" when I try to update my profile.

 

Does anybody know how I can link my main spotify account to my mail email account? Any help or advice would be really appreciated.

Apologies for the delayed response, we just came across this thread.

 

Could you let us know if you’re still having troubles with this?

 

When an account is closed, it's not possible to reactivate after 7 days have passed, but may take up to 30 days to complete the process.

 

The email address that was used in the account can be registered for a new account 14 days after the deletion process has been started.
