Changing subscription from individual to family and the account country details at the same time

Hello, 

 

I have been invited to join my brothers family subscription and thereby leave my own premium, but can only join once I have changed my country to the same as his (UK to Sweden). 

I have updated the address details already, however these will only come into effect from my next billing date. 

 

How do I avoid having to pay for a new month worth of subscription just because this will be the only time that my address details are updated and I can then join the family plan?

 

Feels uncecessary to have to pay for a month I won't use only because of admin reasons...

Hey @JazzLDN,

 

You could cancel your subscription and then wait until your account reverts back to Free. Once you're back on the Free plan, you should be able to change your account's country here: https://www.spotify.com/account/profile/

 

Please remember that you won't be able to change your account's country to Sweden when you're not in Sweden. If you are in Sweden, it should work without any issues 🙂

You could cancel your subscription and then wait until your account reverts back to Free. Once you're back on the Free plan, you should be able to change your account's country here: https://www.spotify.com/account/profile/

 

Please remember that you won't be able to change your account's country to Sweden when you're not in Sweden. If you are in Sweden, it should work without any issues 🙂
