Charged 4 times for studen discount?

Charged 4 times for studen discount?

I recently tried to sign up for the student discount as I will be entering my first year of college in the fall. I didn't have the correct stuff and the system couldn't find me in my college data base (most likely because it is too early). So instead I just signed up for the usual $9.99 premium option. When I checked my bank account, Spotify had charged me $20 in the student discount on top of the $9.99. I just want the $20 back in my account.

If you haven't received a receipt for the purchase, it's very likely just a pending charge: https://support.spotify.com/account_payment_help/managing_payments/pending-charges/

So will those pending charges ever get dropped?

Yes:

 

"The pending charge is a part of your bank’s authorization process.

 

As the transaction(s) have not completed, you won't get billed. The authorization will expire and the funds will be returned shortly."
