My Question or Issue

 Hello,

I have a free spotify account, however I just been charged €9.99. I did not sign up for any trial, and my account is still showing as a free account. Can you please explain why I was charged?

Kind regards,

Lorcan

Hey @Lorc13, and welcome to the community.

Hope you’re doing great!

Can you head to your Receipts page and tell me if you see anything there, any charges?

If not, did you let anyone use your card for any Spotify purchases, and are you sure that the charge is from Spotify?

Let me know how this goes 🙂

Hi @Billy-J,

Thanks for your response. No there is nothing showing in the receipts page, it just says 'No receipts found'.

No one else has used my card, and the description on my statement is from <snip - edit by Community Moderator>.  Since its for 9.99, it really looks like I've just been charged for a premium account?

Thanks,

Lorcan

@Lorc13.

Thanks for checking. Last step before going foward, can you login to your account (https://www.spotify.com/account) and tell me if your subscription status shows as 'Free' or 'Premium'?

@Billy-J,

The subsciption status is 'Spotify Free'.

Thanks,

Hey @Lorc13.

Thanks for getting in touch!

Take a look at this page to see what to do next if you've been charged without signing up for a subscription.

Should help 🙂 let us know if you have further questions.

Have a nice day.
