Charged in Euros for Canadian subscription

So I switched my payment method recently (to paypal from a credit card) and I was charged for my first month of subscription in Euros. I live in Canada so the exchange rate made my charge for a Premium subscription about $16.96 instead of $10.00 CAD as it's advertised on the subscription payment page. 

I contacted spotify and this was their response: 

"Thanks for getting in touch with us. We'll be happy to explain what happened. Many states and local governments require companies to collect sales tax for a variety of reasons, such as marketing/promotional activities and use of local sales agents or consultants. As we continue to grow and start participating in these activities state and local tax laws may cover our service. When this happens we will start adding sales tax to monthly payments. This change will be made automatically, so all you need to do to accept this change is to carry on using Spotify."

I was very clearly charged in euros and payed extra for it, this has nothing to do with sales tax on monthly payments. 

I was wondering if anyone else has had this issue and how they resolved it, or if Spotify is willing to recognize their faulty charge and refund me.

I got the same message from "Santiago." I replied that this was irrelevant, and explained again that the posted price for Premium is $9.99 Canadian, NOT Euros (EUR 9.99 is about $14.50 CDN, FWIW). He wrote back after a day and said I could simply change my payment option - which allows me to be billed by another means for...9.99 EUR. Another irrelevant answer.

I'm beginning to think Spotify support is not human and that a robot scans queries for keywords and then sends out a pre-written reply. I have challenged Santiago to answer a simple question to prove his existence and humanity. And to answer my actual question...
