Charged twice a month but there's something interesting about it...

I've been using Spotify over a year. I checked my credit card extracts, i've never charged twice so far, but in december (i'm sure I didnot make any upgrades) one in the 10th and one in the 19th of december, spotify took 15 TRY twice (its about $5).

Hi @waffleinstein, welcome!

If you’re seeing unexpected charges from Spotify on your bank/credit card/PayPal statement, check first to see if they’re marked as “pending”.

Pending charges

A pending charge is a part of your bank or credit card company's authorization process. When you submit a payment, they place a temporary authorization on the funds. If the transaction doesn’t successfully complete, no money will actually be taken.

In that instance, the authorization will expire and the funds will reappear on your statement. The time this takes can vary, depending on your bank/credit card company.

For more information, we’d recommend contacting your bank/credit card company directly.

See our credit/debit card troubleshooting guide for further assistance.

NOT PENDING?

If the unexpected charge you’re seeing isn’t marked as pending, check to see if you have any other accounts the charge might have come from.

Let me know if this helps.
