Charged twice per month

My current spotify account should be $4.99 a month ($5.29 after taxes). I have been charged this correct amount sonce November 2016. However, I ave also been charged $13.77 for the past 4 months as well and I don't know why. Please stop charging this amount to my cc and refund my money taken that wasn't suppose to be.

Not to worry, let's figure this out! First of all, the first charge, is it for Student Discount? If it is, keep in mind that your student discount is active for 12 months from the moment you apply it to your account. This is so Spotify can check your eligibility each academic year. After that, your account will revert to the standard Premium rate. You can read more about it here.

 

As for the second charge, could you have another account? You can read this article on how to find if you have a duplicate.

 

If none of these steps work, I'd recommend you get in touch with a member of the Spotify staff directly so they can take a look under the hood for you 🙂 You can drop them a line on social media (Twitter or Facebook) or by using the contact form. Make sure, if you use the latter, to reply to the automated email you'll receive directing you back to the help pages, even if it's from a no-reply!

 

Support usually gets back within a day or two.
