Checking gift card balances before giving as a gift

Hi, I purchased 4 Spotify Premium $10 gift cards from a store that I plan to give as a gift.  I want to check the balances before giving them just to make sure they're good, in case they were tampered with at the store.  How can I check the gift card balances without applying them to my account?
