Closing Account Without Email Access

A few years ago, I created an account via Facebook. Recently, I made a new student account via email but would like to connect it to facebook. I have attempted to close the old account but I am unable to as the email I used to sign up for Facebook 7 years ago no longer exists. Is there a way I can deactivate this account without access to the email?
