Compromised after password change

My Question or Issue

I opened spotify and in devices there was a device I did not know (Family Room Display, Google Cast). I changed my password and logged out from all my devices and then logged into spotify again only to find the Google Cast here again.

This is the second time my account got compromised even though my passwords are 16 characters of numbers, letters and symbols.

Hmm, let's see what could be happening here. Spotify Connect can show devices that are available on the Local Network. This could be a Google Nest Hub, Google Chromecast or other Google Cast-enabled device. Could you check if you have any of those devices in your house or connected to your local network? Keep me posted! 🙂

I don't have any of these devices myself but since I live in an apartment complex it could be that someone else has one of these.

Indeed it is. I found out that someone a floor down recently installed a smart-TV.

Nothing is compromised it seems.
