Confused about Preum and Purchaseing

I'm abit confused about what this sentence  says.

Does this mean that I also can sync a playlist and put it in my to my ipod nano, without buying the songs on the playlist?

Nope. The only music you can sync to a Nano from Spotify are songs that you own (the MPs3).

To listen to music from the Spotify catalogue you have to have a device that you can install the Spotify app on
