Connecting to new Facebook account has not updated Spotify name

A year or so ago, I disconnected my Facebook account from Spotify. Naturally, I ended up with the string of numbers username. My Facebook account was later disabled without warning, and I have been unable to recover it for the past 7 months.

Hoping to replace my numbers username on Spotify, I created a new Facebook account and connected it to my Spotify; however, my numbers username has not updated in days, perhaps weeks. I have ensured that Facebook is sharing data with Spotify, I have logged out and logged back in on my mobile app and desktop app, and I have waited days to no avail. Does anyone have any more suggestions? Thanks in advance for your help!

I would like you to take a look at this Spotify answer for further instructions.

However, it might be possible that your old FB account must be disconnected completely in order for it to update your data to the new one.

Let's start with this and see how it goes.
