Constant Connection to unknown devices

Constant Connection to unknown devices

Hello,

I have spotify premium which I have used for years without issue and now suddenly my account keeps connecting to an unknown "living room speaker" when I am trying to use spotify. I have done a ton of trouble shooting and following all of spotify's directions:

- Signed out everywhere

- Reset my password TWICE

Without fail when I start listening to a song it will somehow change and connect to this "living room speaker" and start playing completely different music. The next option I see feasible is to just get rid of my account as I have no control and cannot use it.

What can I do to stop this?

Thanks.

Hi @Schleich

Thank you for reaching out here in the Community!

It's good to know that you've already taken some steps. However, it's better to open the password reset form in a private/incognito window, and choose a strong password you haven't used before.
Then you can go to your account page and click SIGN OUT EVERYWHERE again.

It's also strongly advised that you change the password for:

  • The email address associated with your Spotify account (e.g. with Gmail, Hotmail, etc.).
  • Any Facebook profile associated with your Spotify account. You can make sure you're the only one currently logged into your Facebook in your Facebook Settings, under Security and login > Where You’re Logged In.
  • Any service where you use the same password as Spotify.

Make sure to always keep your account safe

If after that the issue persists, you can reach out to Customer Support.
You can find the contact form here.

I hope it helps!
