Country does not match one set in profile

Upon login, Spotify says that my country does not match the one in my profile. I am in the USA and my profile is set in the USA. It will not let me login still.

are you sure that the ip adress is right? have you already tried to login at www.spotify.com and change the country settings there?

please let me know if this doesn't work for you anyway so i'll continue my research.

Thanks for responding. The IP address is right and I am able to login from spotify.com. The scroll down to change the country is grayed out-- so it will not let me change anything, although it does say USA. I recently came from Switzerland and switched the country from Switzerland to USA, but now I cannot do anything.

You need to remove the payment method and/or type a new one in. Then you should be able to change this which is now grey 😉

I don't want to add a payment provider. Even though it won't let me change the country, the country listed is correct...
