Coupon of 30 € (= US$35) does not work

My Question or Issue

I purchased a 30€ Spotify debit/coupon/fund card (these cards that need to get scratched to see the code) in a retail store (yes, I really paid for it and it got activated) in Germany. I use Spotify with same country setting (Germany) in Germany. Coupon is valid for 3 years after purchase (according to the terms as shown on the coupon).

Code does not work, is not accepted by Spotify.

I contacted Spotify with all details (code/pin which was hidden, bar code that had to be scanned by cashier). 

Spotify customer support has not responded to my issue yet.

I like to know from Customer Support, what happened to my coupon code.

Can anybody help please.
