Creating a new Spotify account for users who does not have Facebook

Hello there.

I am a proud Premium member who has supported Spotify for a few years already. The service is great and I'm basically a happy puppy, but there is this one thing that really bugs me. I am trying to create a new account for my daughter, but Spotify seems to demand a Facebook account must be created first. My kids are going to be spared from Facebook for as long as possible so the question is, is there really no way of creating a new Spotify account without FB?

At the moment, I believe that is correct.  From what I am able to infer, Spotify has no current plans to change this.  I know you are not the only one who feels that Facebook should not be required.  The more voices that express this opinion, the more likely Spotify will change.  But for the moment, unfortunately, I don't believe this is possible.

Hmm... that's really a shame - hope they change it back to the way it used to be.
