My Question or Issue

I attempt to add a new credit card to my subscription payment methods. My Spotify account is set to USA. My credit card is issued in USA. However, I receive the error "Your payment method and country don't match."

I tried doing this through Safari, Chrome, and MacBook Chrome in Incognito mode. All result in the same error.

I called my credit card support line and confirmed that the card is issued in the US. My Spotify subscription is currently paid through a different credit card from the US also.

Thanks for reaching out to us and welcome to the Community!

Quite the odd error indeed - we'd recommend continuing your troubleshooting using a different network and turning off your VPN if you're using one.

 

It's also a good call to wait 24 hours and try again as too many attempts to change your payment info might cause trouble. Lastly, you can take a look here to see all the requirements your card must meet to be possible to use it for a plan.

It still did not work. I ended up using a different credit card.

Hopefully this issue can be resolved. I would like to use my Discover card

Just wanted to give an update, I canceled my Spotify premium subscription and switched to a different paid service, partly due to this issue.
