DELETING AN ACCOUNT

Solved!

DELETING AN ACCOUNT

My boyfriend deleted his facebook account which he used to sign up for Spotify. He can no longer use Spotify because of his deleted facebook. So with that being said, will he still be charged each month from Spotify even though he doesn't use it? & if he is, is there a way to completely cancel his spotify account?

Hello @grins0x. Thanks for posting in the Spotify Community!

Although we'd be sad to see him stop using Spotify, it's totally understandable if he's just not using right now. Normally, he would need to log into his account on the Spotify website and cancel his subscription through his account Subscription page.

However, because he deactivated his Facebook account, he may have trouble logging in to cancel his subscription.

DEACTIVATED FACEBOOK?

If you created your Spotify account by choosing SIGN UP WITH FACEBOOK, but have since deactivated your Facebook account, you won't be able to log in.

You need to either reactivate Facebook or create a new Spotify account. If you create a new account, you can contact us and we'll move your playlists, saved music, followers, and account information over.

You can contact support by filling this online contact form:
https://www.spotify.com/about-us/contact/contact-spotify-anonymous/
Reply to the automated email if you receive one (even if it says it is no-reply) and an agent will get back to you as soon as possible.

Let me know if this resolved his Subscription issue.

I am not sure about the first part of your question but below are the steps to cancelling your spotifiy account:

  1. Go to our Subscription page.
  2. Under Subscription and payment, click cancel your subscription.
  3. Select a reason (select Other reasons if you're canceling for a promotion). ...
  4. Click CANCEL MY SUBSCRIPTION.
  5. Enter your password in the password field.
