Daughter has added me to her family account but I cannot cancel my original premium prescription

Daughter has added me to her family account but I cannot cancel my original premium prescription

This is crazy , have had a premium account for over a year. Then my daughter added me to her family subscription , but Spotify are still taking the original monthly premium subscription out of my bank account.

and what makes it worse I have no way of cancelling my own subscription !

if I login and look at subscriptions there is no Cancel option I just see

 

'Your account is part of a family subscription, please refer to the Premium for Family owner to manage your subscription'

 

 

what the heck am I meant to do, Spotify are getting paid twice over !!!

Hey @Glendia, welcome to the Spotify Community!

 

All you need to do is get in contact with Spotify support and their Accounts team can take a look backstage. The easiest way to contact them is by messaging SpotifyCares on Facebook or Twitter. They usually respond within 48 hours!

I contacted the support team and I would have to say they were brilliant.

Turns out I had 2 userids on Spotifiy, a Premium acct and a Free acct, and I had signed up my Free acct id into the Family account.

 

Therefore completely my fault but Spotify still refunded me the payments I had been making on the Premium account and then closed it.

 

Seriously impressed with the customer service !
