Declining new card

Hi all,

 

I know there's a few posts about this but I can't seem to find the solution.

 

My VISA card has expired and I have 2 different spotify accounts, one of them has gone through fine and the new card has been accepted but the other won't work. The message I've got is about the card being registered in a different country. It's a UK account with a UK card so I'm not sure what's happening?

 

Any advice much appreciated!

Hi, when you added the new card did you specify UK as the country?

 

I recommend you remove the card, and then add it again 🙂

AndreaRoberts - As you've tried to pay a few times on that new card, you won't have any more luck tonight, I'm afraid. As you tried to make that payment 6 times in a few minutes, the payment won't be able to go through right now. It's a security measure.

I know this isn't ideal, but If you could try again tomorrow, it should go through ok.

Hi Sam,

Thanks I'll try again tomorrow.

I've tried again today and it's still not accepting the new card. I don't understand as it accepted it fine for my other spotify account, tho actually the other account is in my husbands name, and it's his card. Does that matter, no where has it asked for the cardholders name?

Hmm ok, I'm not sure why it's not going through. If you could contact our payments team here, they'll be able to get it working for you. I'm sorry about the inconvenience.
