I am planning on deleting my Facebook account. However, I created my Spotify account with my Facebook account. Is there any possibility on deleting my Facebook account (hence, remove the connection with Spotify) without losing all my music and playlists I saved for years?
Hey @Jolien05 and welcome to the Community! 🙂
There's a great Spotify Answer that will walk you through a few options on how to disconnect from Facebook and gives more details on functionality afterwards.
I hope this is helpful and have a great day! 🙂
Thanks for your reply. I have read that Spotify Answer. However, I dont get to see that option because I created my Spotify account with my Facebook account. So I am afraid I will lose all my saved music but I hope there is a solution..!
Hi again @Jolien05 !
In this case, the options they listed would apply if you aren't seeing that you can disconnect through the app. Option #1 is the best choice as your library should still be in tact once you disconnect, but you will see your user as only numbers going forward.
Option #2 will clear out all your recommendations and listening history and you would need to copy over your playlists to the new account.
I've copied the most relevant info below for the steps and hope this was helpful!
Don’t see this option?
If you don't see this option it's either because your Facebook isn't connected to that account, but more likely that you created your Spotify account with Facebook at the beginning. If that's the case you have 3 options:
Option 3
If you reactivate the Facebook account you used to sign up with Spotify you can also continue to use the app as normal.
