Deleting the account, may this solve my problem?

Hello everyone! My problem is, that I installed Spotify on my previous computer. It had a Hungarian IP address, but I was using it in Sweden, and Spotify worked perfectly. Then that computer broke, and I was given a Macbook from my Swedish school. I also installed Spotify, and it worked properly. Later I went back to Hungary and I received my present computer. It has also a Hungarian IP address, and Spotify refuses to work on this one. Whenever I try to log in, it says "The country does not match the one set in your profile". I try to change my country settings, but it does not work! So I decided to delete my account, and later make a new one. Do you think this might help?

Hi, and welcome to the community!


Instead of deleting your account, you can submit an online contact form; and someone at Spotify should be able to fix the country for you I believe.

If you get an automated reply; make sure to reply to it directly (even if it's from a no reply); and it will be sent to the Spotify staff.

I didn't think Spotify was available in Hungary yet?



We currently do not have our service in Hungary, so you would be unable to use the Free service there.  At the moment, your account is set as being in Sweden - but since you are now in Hungary, you are now getting the message about being abroad.  To use it in Hungary, you will need to upgrade your account by using a Swedish payment or gift card.  


If you delete the account, you would be unable to make a new one from your current location.
