My Question or Issue

This doesn't make any sense but here goes. I have my own spotify plan on my own account and my dad has his own plan on his own account. But whenever one of us starts playing music it overrides the other's spotify. So when one of is listening the other can only listen to that as well. I don't know how this is possible because we have different accounts and plans. The only thing we share is our data plan and previously we shared his Apple ID but I have my own now. I have no idea what is causing this issue and my dad is a lazy piece of... who isn't gonna try to figure it out so if anyone has any ideas, thank you.

Hey @milkcrate ,

Thanks for reaching out.

If you're both using Spotify on a phone, I recommend heading into the app and then going into Settings > Account.

There, you can check if the username and email are the same or if they're different. You should have no issues listening to music at the same time if the username and email displayed there are different on both devices.

Let me know how it goes 🙂
