Device limit reached, but I only have one device

Hi,

I just installed a new system on my Android phone, tried to download my songs to offline storage, and got a message that I have reached the limit of three devices.

However, I only have one device that I use for downloads - this particular phone. I have two laptops where I use Spotify too, but I never downloaded songs to them, as they are connected to the Web 100% of the time.

I suppose the two devices detected by Spotify are actually previous installations of my Android (I had Lollipop, then Marshmallow, and yesterday I switched to LineageOS) on THE SAME DEVICE.

How do I fix this?

Try the "sign out everywhere" option in settings to sign out of all devices then add your phone first. Spotify may have pre-downloaded a recommended playlist for you, or someone could be using your account on a device you forgot to sign out of. This should fix your issue! 🙂
