Didn't get the $0.99 per 3 months holiday discount

I just signed up for Spotify premium on this page: https://www.spotify.com/us/premium/ which states the $0.99 for 3 months discount. For some reason, it charged me $9.99 for this first month. Was there a reason for that?

Also, if I cannot get that discount, could I still sign up for the student discount? I don't want to pay $9.99 per month, but I would do the 3 month deal, or the student rate.

Have a look at the terms and conditions: 

If you have subscribed to the Premium or Unlimited service or have taken a 30-day free trial offer or 60-day free trial offer previously, you are ineligible for this Introductory Trial Offer.

It seems you've been on premium/trial before and this offer is for new customers only unfortunately.

When you cancel your current subscription you can still resubscribe to the student discount but I'm afraid you won't get your money back for the first month.

Wait i havent used the premium trial except when i first installed it... Is that also accountable?
