Disabled Spotify Social but people can still see what I'm listening to

Hi

I don't have 'Share my activity on Spotify Social' checked and I am not connected with Facebook. However, I subscribed to a friend's playlist and now they can see all my song activity in their 'People' bar.

I don't get this - by subscribing to their playlist I wasn't aware that I'd be sharing any activity with them, I'm just subscribed to the playlist. The 'Share...' box is still unchecked and I'm still not connected to FB.

Please could someone let me know if they have any ideas about what's going on?
