Disappearing Account

Disappearing Account

I signed up for the free month of premium a month ago and logged on today to cancel it before it charged me.  When I opened spotify, I was logged out.  When I tried to log in, it said that my username/password was incorrect.  When I tried to do a password reset, I never received an e-mail (and I checked spam folder).

 

I tried putting in my actual e-mail address instead of username and it said that my e-mail was not associated with any account.  I tried to sign up again and it said that my original username was in use and could not be used.  It's very frustrating.

 

I had to make a new account just to contact spotify for a possible resolution.  I sent a contact form to spotify and received a generic response basically telling me to look in the community and figure it out myself.  I've looked for a while and can't find any similar issues.  Is my original account just gone?  Has this happened to anyone else before?

Since you already contacted Spotify Customer Service and you received a automated response from Customer Service you need to reply directly to that email (even if its from no-reply email address) and one of the customer services agents will get back to you as soon as possible.
