Disconnect Spotify from Facebook

I don't like having my spotify account connected with facebook (i'm getting old and I don't like anything connected with facebook). 

I know I can turn off all sharing etc. But it's not enough for me. Chances are I will delete my facebook before I'll delete my spotify account.

I've been looking through the settings and I can't seem to find anything that allows me to switch manully.

Is there a way? 
Anybody done this successfully? What did you do?

I know I can export all my playlists, delete my account and then sign up again not using facebook. But I was hoping for a quick-fix.

Thank you very much for posting here on the Forums.

Very good question, here's some insight into this;

You can't actually disconnect your Facebook created account from Facebook as this will effectively leave your account broken. But there is something you can do so don't worry ^.^

If you could fill out the Spotify contact form via clicking here, we will be able to free up your email address so you can create one through Spotify (Non Facebook created account). Then you can have all your playlists, starred tracks and playlist followers transferred over to your new account.

The recommended "1, 2, 3" selections on the form are:

1) Account and login

2) Delete/close my Spotify account

3) I have deactivated Facebook

Just say "I wan't to use Spotify without Facebook, please transfer over my playlists" and someone will help you accordingly 🙂

It was a success 🙂 

Did the steps and within an hour support got back to me and we solved it pretty quickly and painless. 

Had to change my nickname on the forum though. But that doesn't really matter to me.
