Display name showing up as random numbers

My current spotify profile display name is a string of random numbers, making it incredibly difficult for friends to find my profile and playlists.

I've tried connecting/logging in through facebook and while the friend activity tab is working fine, my display name still remains as a random string of numbers rather than my facebook name.

What should I do?

Thanks for reaching out!

Here's more info on how a Spotify profile creared through Facebook works.  

Besides that, you can go to your account's Privacy Settings to activate the processing of Facebook data. Make sure the option is greened out 🙂

Hello I've tried the steps listed on the webpage.  When I'm viewing my account details on the spotify website, my facebook seems to be connected (fb profile picture is showing), however on the actual web player and mobile app, the display photo is still stock and my display name is still a string of random numbers 😞

Thanks for trying out these steps! 

 We recommend re-syncing your Spotify account with Facebook to get things working again:

1. On desktop, go to your Facebook Settings.
2. Select Apps and websites in the left hand column. 
3. Find Spotify and click View and edit. 
   Tip: If you don't see it, check the Expired tab. 
4. The Spotify app settings pop up. Select Remove App at the bottom of this pop up, then Remove to confirm.
5. Go here and click Sign up with Facebook.
6. You’ll receive a message requesting access. Select Okay. 

That’s it! Your latest Facebook settings should re-sync with Spotify.
