Do Spotify take security seriously?

Do Spotify take security seriously?

My account has been hacked and it appears that I am not the first. It also appears that there is no way to contact Spotify when this happens except online and from trawling the community it appears that users may get a response within 24 or 48 hours...if they get a response at all.

 

How can this be acceptable? There are credit card details within these accounts and yet Spotify allow users emails to be changed on accounts without verifying whether the user is actually requesting this (no two factor authentication to verify the change).

 

Now I am locked out of my account and the fraudsters potentially have access to my CC details and I have no way of contacting Spotify.

 

In a world where Cyberfraud is rife I think Spotify could and should have a better solution to this problem.

 

I'd welcome peoples thoughts/views/comments and maybe this thread will encourage Spotify to introduce some basic security into our accounts????

That's not cool! Spotify support takes that seriously so you should contact them here immediately https://support.spotify.com/us/contact-spotify-anonymous/

If you get an automated reply email, you need to reply back to it. Support usually replies within 24-48 hrs
