Double Billed Incorrectly

Dear Spotify Community,
I have one spotify account. I have premium for this account (jonbeangreene). I am correctly charged the monthly premium fee. HOWEVER, I am also being charged a second monthly fee of $10.79. The billing info states "Point Of Sale Withdrawal / Spotify USA 646 - 8375380 NYUS $10.79".
Spotify, if I only have one account and am a premium customer... why are you billing me for a second non - premium account. This is frustrating and I am eager to stop using spotify and find another music provider if this continues. This incorrect billing has been happening for over 5 months without me knowing. This is unprofessional as well as flat out illegal. I have already filled out a form and sent it to your company eplaining the issue, but it has been over two months and you have not replied.
Please do something about this.

Hi @jonbeangreene. Sorry to hear that you're having this billing issue. In this instance there are typically two reasons as to why you would be billed a second time. The first, and most common, is that you have a second account that was unintentionally created, and then upgraded to premium. The second, and more serious (but less likely) possibility, is that your method of payment may have been compromised and someone else is using your payment information for their subscription.

 

Please take a look at your payment method's account statement to make sure that everything appears to be in order. If they only charges you're seeing that don't belong are the second Spotify charges, then likely things are ok. 

 

The next step would be to reach out to Spotify Support, which it sounds like you've already done. When you filled out the contact form, did you receive a no-reply email with a case number attached to it? Please let me know and we can go from there. Cheers!
