Double transaction

Double transaction

Last month my spotify was suddenly off premium and half my playlists gone. After the recommendation to resign as a premium customer I did so, just checked my bank account and spotify has taken money out twice this month! How can I get them to put it back in and stop this from happening again!

I'm sure we can help figure out what's happened here.

First of all, did those payments come out of your account on the same day? If so you probably just hit the upgrade button more than once (and both payments were credited to your account). You can double check this by going to your Subscription Page and confirming your next payment date is more than 1 month away.

No th ey didn't come out the same day one on the 21st when I upgraded and another on the 26th

Hey @user-removed,

 

It sounds like you've got a second account with Spotify. Are there any other email addresses you could have used to register with Spotify? It's worth checking those inboxes to see if you have any Spotify emails -- that will mean your extra account is registered with that email.

 

  • If you don't have another email address, note how you log into the Spotify app usually.
  • If you use your Facebook details try entering your Spotify username (if you created one originally).
  • If you use your Spotify username try entering just your email address.

Hey I do have another spotify account but it's linked to a different email address? Why does this mean they have charged me twice? Is there anyone I can call from spotify ?

You may have upgraded both accounts to Spotify Premium. Please check on this page if both accounts are Premium: https://www.spotify.com/account/subscription/
