Drop child from family account so they can create student account?

My Question or Issue

 My daughter is on our family account. She is now in college and would like to switch to a student account in order to access the Hulu offer. She has switched her email in Spotify to her new college email address. Do I simply remove her from the family account and then she creates a student account?  Will she retain her existing playlists and other saved items?  We want to accomplish this in the right order, if there is one.

Thanks for reaching out. Nice questions, I'll try to clear thing up 🙂

You can simple remove that account from your Spotify Premium for Family plan from your Spotify account page. Then, she'll be able to apply for the student discount with the same account. She should be able to see the playlists and songs she saved as usually.
