Email address does not match Spotify account

Email address does not match Spotify account

I am posting this for a friend who is not able to log in anymore. From one day to another, he was logged out from Spotify. When he tried to log in again, he received a notification that the email address does not match any Spotify account. Also, when he tried to reset his password, he did not receive any email. However, he is still linked to a Family Premium account.

Hi there @Dreest,

 

Thanks for letting us know. In such cases, one can always reach any of our support teams, see here, and if proper verification is provided, they can grant access to the account again. None of the contact methods require you to have access to the account of course, otherwise we wouldn't be able to assist in such cases 😉 Also advise your friend and the owners of the family account not to remove him from the plan, doing so will only make the process more complicated.
