Email already in use / but can't get a password reset email for that account

Email already in use / but can't get a password reset email for that account

Hello,

I have an account, and when i try to change the email address to the one i use for all the payments ( i would like to subscripte to Spotify familly), i get an error message saying that this email adress is already in use.

But, when i try to reset the password for the account (which i don't remember) linked to that address email, it says that no account is linked to that adresse.

So basically, on one hand, i get a message saying that the address email is used elswhere, and the other hand, another message says that the address is not linked to any account.

Could anyone help please?

I would make another account with a new email and a password that's easy to remember. You can then go onto Spotify, find your old username, and follow all of the playlists and songs. This way you can still use a new account but still have all your playlists and songs.

Hi,

Thanks for your answer.

Actually, i don't care about the playlists and songs. I just want to keep my userID, which i use everywhere, and link it to the email address i use for payments. Otherwise, i'm not taking the subscription.

Hey @nghtymind,

You should fill out the contact form, and someone from Spotify will be happy to help you update your email within 24 hrs. Don't forget to check your spam folder for responses as they may end up there.

If you get an automated email directing you to the community or help pages, you need to reply directly to support@spotify.com and one of the customer services agents will get back to you.
