Email not linked to Spotify account

Hi, 

i am having some trouble recovering a spotify account, my passwords don't work so when i go to recover it i get a message saying that this email isn't linked to a spotify account. I have gone back and looked through my previous emails and i still have the original message from spotify requesting to join spotify family. somthing else thats odd is a friend that follows that account said the name changed to some random numbers and letters - 21wleuvvin6vufv6drqfl7ii

i think this is due to having more than one spotify account?

any help would be great.

That sounds like you may have created your account via Facebook. We'd recommend getting in touch with the folks over at SpotifyCares. They'll be happy to take a look backstage and get this sorted.
