Every song says "This song is not available"

The Windows app indicates the same thing for every song, "This song is not available". I am connected to wifi, online mode, account up to date, closed and opened app, still no reproduction is possible. My IOS device works fine for the same songs. Whats up?

It seems that certain songs go in and out of availability based on where you are. Are you are traveling out of county? If not, then there is probably an issue with your system locale, especialy if the IOS device is doing just fine.

Hey @caseyearle, welcome to the community!

Just to confirm, does this happen with any song you try to play or a specific playlist or album? Also, are these songs part of your local files or only from the Spotify catalog?

In the meantime, try reinstalling the Spotify app on your desktop to see if it helps.

Thanks Alfredo, elsewhere I found a thread explaining something to do with
windows settings of the audio output. If there is no valid output, the
spotify songs do not play. None of my 1200 songs would play. So I ran the
windows problem solver and got the speaker to be valid. Why it suddenly
didn't work, I don't know, but now it does. Thanks again anyway. Casey
