Facebook New Account Issue

Hello guys, 
So a while back I originally I created a Spotify account with my facebook. I now have a new account username that I want to connect to my facebook instead of the old account, but it won't let me because the old account is still connected. I've tried to cancel it but I am not getting any emails and it won't let me cancel or disconnect it. Both accounts somehow are using the same email, because I changed my email on facebook in hopes of disconnecting the old account. I just want to permanently erase the old account (it's on free by the way) and connect my new account (which is premium) to my facebook. Someone please help!
