Facebook account, double charging, & deleting subscription

After realising that I was being charged twice the Spotify monthly fees, I wanted to cancel all open premium subscriptions.

I deactivated the premium account from the spotify website and I also checked my facebook and deactived my spotify account under the apps section.

My spotify account said that I had passed to the free mode.

Nonetheless I was still being charged, this time at least only one monthly fee.

I contacted the support, and I was told that the deactivation of the facebook account from facebook made my (2nd) account basically inaccessible and that was why I could not access it and cancel it. But that they could not refund me.

In my view it is quite absurd that a company that big can make it so difficult for the users to cancel their subscriptions. By deactivating the spotify app on facebook the user clearly shows his will to cancel his/her subscription, especially when this facebook account is not accessble anywherelse on the Spotify website...

Did anyone else had any experience in this direction?
