Failed subscription still charged x2

I cancelled my premium account because I am a student and wanted to apply for the student account. However I was denied because of failure to verify that I was a student. I tried again and got the same result. However I received two charges of 5$ for a total of $10 and still do not have a student account active. I would like to be refunded 5$ and have my account opened. If this cannot be achieved at this time I would like full reimbursement until my student account can be processed.

Hey @oidakotaio, Welcome to the community! 🙂

 

Here's what to try if you've upgraded to Premium but don't see it in the app.

 

  • Check your subscription page. Your status should be Premium. 
  • If you're on Premium, try signing out and back into the app. 
  • If it says Free, check the receipt we send to your email inbox. Make sure you're signing in with the username on that receipt. If the username on your receipt is a 10 digit number, please sign in with your Facebook login details.

It's also possible you have a second account - one account with a Spotify username, the other created and linked to your Facebook profile. Try logging in with each to access your Premium.

Thanks but I used the same account I used for my previous premium account for both tries on the student account. Still need assistance.

Mmm okay lets try this:

 

  1. Your next billing date should be further away as you have paid for Spotify premium 🙂
  2.  Could you check your subscription page, is your next billing date further away?

I cancelled the premium prior to trying to reopen with a student account twice. I got charged twice with no student account access. I have no charge date listed on my account as my account claims I have a "free" account.
