Family Membership Question: What if the person you want to add already has an account

I currently have a premium account as does my husband. Ideally we would like to cancel his account and add him onto the new Family Plan. The question I have is will he get to retain his user id and all his music and playlists if we do that. He doesn't want to loose any of that. I know the family plan is new and seems like a great deal. I'm guessing it would work as we would hope, but I would just like some confirmation.

Hello @glamazon5, welcome to the community!

Yes, you will be able to add him as long as he is not a premium user already. If he is a current premium member, you would need to cancel first and wait until his account becomes a free account again, here is more information on canceling here. 🙂 Once his account is back to free, follow the directions in this post to add him 🙂 He will just have to follow the directions under "Members" once he receives the invite. He will be able to keep his username and playlists as it will be added to his current account.
