Family plan still only allowing music on one device to be played at a time

Family plan still only allowing music on one device to be played at a time

Hi,

 

New to the community.

 

My wife and I have a family plan.

 

Despite this, if one of us is listening to spotify on one phone, the other

phone can either take over and take control or can listen to the same song.

 

Why can't we both listen to different tracks at the same time?

 

I know spotify connect is the cuplrit, but surely a family plan is designed for

both listeners to listen to their own music simulatenously?

Do you both have your own Spotify account?

 

The family plan for 2 people is set up so each person has their own Spotify account.

 

Make sure you are logged into your Spotify account and she is logged into her Spotify account.

 

2 people can't use the same account at the same time.

Hi Matt, yes. We both have accounts within the family plan and they are both reflected within the accounts setting.

Spotify connect does seem to be the cause.
