Free member can't join Family Plan

Free member can't join Family Plan

Hi,

I've just bought Family Plan - my first premium subscription and I'm trying to invite my wife, and she can't joing the plan. She doesn't have, nor did she have in the past, any premium account - she is 100% free plan user, but she get's the message saying she needs to cancel her subscription bought in a 3rd party. But she doesn't have this. How do I invite her?

RockStars and RisingStars have seen problems with the Spotify Premium for Family Subscription service over the past few hours. From my point of few, it appears to be randomly not working for people based on their location and operating system environment. For some people, it starts working again after waiting a few hours, for others it's only just beginning.

 

At the moment all Community Stars do not know what is causing this problem.

We're currently waiting for a update from staff regarding the matter.

 

In the meantime, we ask that you read the following thread to see if you can resolve the issue yourself, or provide us with more information to troubleshoot the issue. Thank you for your patience.
