Gift for Dad in Oz - with UK credit card

I'm trying to buy my Dad a premium Spotify membership in Australia. I currently live in the UK and therefore need to make the payment on UK Visa card. However, when I try to plug it in as payment method - it says I must use a Australian credit card which I don't have.

Surely as a global sound system - there is an easy solution, I can't work out? Any help much appreciated.

Hey @Bianchimeek, welcome to the Spotify Community!

In the past, buying Premium gifts for people was easy because Spotify allowed the purchase of e-gift cards (e-cards), but that service has unfortunately been indefinitely suspended.

What you will have to do is either use an Australian card to purchase Premium for his Australian account or create a new UK account for him and use your UK card to purchase Premium. If you do make him a UK account, be aware that as long as it is Premium it will be fine for him to use in Australia, but if it drops down to Free then he will only be able to use it "abroad" (outside the UK, where the account is located) for 14 days. The account location can be changed by changing payment details for Premium to an Australian address with an Australian card and then canceling Premium again.
