Going from individual to family plan

Hello,

My husband and I both have individual accounts and want to condense to a family plan now that the free trial is over. 

If I turn mine into a family plan, and then invite him and he accepts, does he then just close down his and everything is ok? I am assuming playlists would be ok? 

Or is there another way I should go about doing this?

Thank you for reaching out here in the Community!

Your husband can join your Family plan with his existing account. That way he can keep his library. 

His billing will switch automatically - he doesn’t need to cancel anything. When he joins a Family plan with his existing Spotify account, all subsequent payments on his account will be made by the plan’s manager (the person who started the plan, in this case that would be you). 

Note: If his current Premium plan is associated with a partner, he needs to cancel with them. 

He can track all this on his account page, under Your plan.
