My Question or Issue

Hi i just got a google home mini and i want To know if my home mini can play music from spotify at the same time of my cellphone if i only have a Premium account not a family one ??

Hope you're doing great!

If you listen to music on your Google Home Mini using your cell phone, it will play on the Google Home Mini, but it will not play on the device - since you can only play on one device at a time.

Ok so if i understand if someone at home play spotify throught home mini i cant use it on my cellphone at work ?

Yes - if someone is using your account to listen to music on your Google Home Mini, you won't be able to listen to music on your cellphone at work.

If someone is listening using a different account, using your Google Home Mini - then there should be no problem.

Hi billy i just upgrade my Premium To family and i cant still play spotify on google home and my cellphone at the same time I dont know why

I took the family package because my mother that live at the same adress of me want To use our google home mini when im at my job.

Thanks for reaching out about this here in the Community!

No worries, all you need to do so that you and your mother can listen to music at the same time is make sure she's signed up for her own Spotify account and you've invited her account to your plan.

You can find more info on how to do this in this Spotify Answer.

Once your mother has joined your family plan successfully, she'll also need link her Spotify account to the Google Home Mini device by following the steps in this support article. This way, she can can ask it to play songs using voice commands.
