HACKED!

HACKED!

My account has been hacked now for the 3rd time in 2 weeks. I've changed my password but whoever is using it has deleted all my playlists, some of which I have had for around 10 years or so, give or take. Currently they are listening to Malaysian hits of the 80's. I'm from the UK with not even a clue, how to say hello in Malaysian :/. Please help!

Can you still access your account in the website?

https://www.spotify.com/account/overview/

Check that your email address is correct (not been altered by someone else) and change the password to a more secure one.

Then, there is option to sign out from all devices in your account's main control panel (at the very bottom).

That should logout of everything, including other people's devices.

I suggest you contact support using this alternative contact form so they can help you.

https://support.spotify.com/contact-spotify-anonymous/

Make sure you are logged out of any Spotify account when using the contact form or the username and email field will not show up. It is important so that you can enter the information of the account you are having trouble with. If you are logged in with a different account that is not having the problem, that account info will be used and support will be confused.

If you get an automated reply email telling you to check the help section or the community, you need to reply back to it, even if it's from a no-reply address.

Support usually replies within 24-48 hours. Don't forget to check your spam folder for responses as they may end up there.

Once you get a response, ask him/her to help you bring back your playlists to a previous state, before deletion.
