Have been getting charged twice the amount as normal for the last 8 months

I have used spotify since 2013 and have always paid $5.29 because of the student discount. I have recently cancled my premium subscription because I was getting charged double the price for the past 8 months for no warning at all that my rate was going to be increased. I have tried reaching spotify customer service via email, twitter, and facebook, but I keep getting ignored. Can I please get some answers and get a resolution to my problem.

I think you should look into the terms and conditions of the student discount. It appears theat you are entitled to one year of the discount before you have to reverify which you can do thrice for a total of four years of the student discount, but you have to remember to re-submit tha application for the discount each year.

Spotify® Student Discount Terms and Conditions

Qualifying Students are entitled to receive a discount of fifty (50) percent on the monthly subscription price (...) for each month (the “Discounted Month”) up to a period of twelve (12) consecutive months ("Discount Period").

You are entitled to activate up to three (3) additional Discount Periods for yourself by re-submitting your information on the Student Discount Offer sign-up page so long as you are a Qualifying Student.

No this is not the solution, I looked at the terms and wouldve renewed but I got no forewarning that my subscription with 50% discount was up! I would like my money refunded or credited back to me since I never got a warning that my plan changed. Is there any phone number I can call to get ahold of someone from spotify???
